Welcome to the web-site for the University of North Texas
Office of Pre-law Advising.

Please note, pre-law is not an academic major at NT. Rather, you should major in something that you will enjoy and in which you can maintain a good GPA. There is no right major for those wanting to go on to law school; any major that emphasizes strong writing and reasoning skills will help you prepare for law school.

However, if you would like to take pre-law courses while an undergrad here at NT, we have many for you to choose from.

NEW AND TRANSFER STUDENTS!

To be active in the pre-law program, you must fill out the

info sheet

and attend one of the

orientation sessions.

We are not taking appointments for students who have not been through orientation.
New students must make an appointment to see Ryan, not Prof. Kirby.
Return the info sheet to Wooten Hall 125, GAB 220, or electronically at
prelaw@unt.edu

Unless otherwise noted, orientation sessions are held in Wooten Hall 125b for students NEW to the pre-law program (No appointment necessary).

If you cannot attend an orientation, you must email your schedule and availability to Ryan Salzman to setup an appointment in lieu of orientation.
