Career Workshops For General Studies and Social Science Majors

Presented by the College of Arts and Sciences Student Advising Office and the Career Center. This workshop assists General Studies and Social Science majors in exploring career opportunities for students with liberal arts degrees. 2009 Workshop times and dates to be announced.

Arts & Sciences Information Session for Prospective Students

These sessions are intended for Prospective New and Transfer Students who are thinking about attending UNT. You do not have to sign up to attend the session, just arrive at the General Academic Builiding room 220 before 3:00 p.m. on one of the following scheduled dates:

The session provide you with the necessary tools to guide your decision making and major exploration before
being admitted to UNT and attending orientation. You will also learn about the diverse number of programs and majors the College of Arts and Sciences offers and meet with an academic advisor or counselor.

Transfer students please bring copies of your transfer work to receive an unoffical evaluation of how your transfer credits may apply toward the University Core and College of Arts and Sciences Requirements.

New from High School students bring any copies of dual enrollment, Advanced Placement, or International Baccalaureate transcripts to receive an unoffical evaluation of how your these credits may apply toward the University Core and College of Arts and Sciences Requirements.

Motivating Toward Success

If you are on Academic Alert you are required to attend this workshop and meet with your Academic Advisor in order to receive your Advising Code. If you are on Probation you must meet with your Academic Advisor to receive your Advising Code, however you may additionally attend this workshop. The Motivating Toward Success workshop is designed to help you refocus your efforts and provide you with the tools necessary to reach higher levels of academic success.
