Health Professions Counselor:

• The Health Professions Counselor assists all students with major and minor selection, courses that meet preprofessional requirements, and applications and recommendations to professional schools in the following fields:
• Chiropractic, Dental Hygiene, Medical/Dental, Medical Record Administration/ Health Information Management, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Podiatric Medicine, Optometry, Public Health, Respiratory Care, Veterinary Medicine.

Requirements for Honor Cords:

• All AED members must earn a minimum of 6 points per semester of study at UNT in order to qualify to wear an AED Honor Cord on graduation day.

Requirements for Local Membership:

• Any Pre-Health Professional student is welcome.
• A membership fee of $25 per semester or $40 per academic year.

• Must have completed at least 45 hours of coursework with a grade point average of at least 3.0 overall, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in science courses.
• A National Membership fee of $55 payable in the spring semester.
• NOTE: Local membership dues are required for the fall semester prior to induction in the spring ($25).
• You must submit all transfer and UNT transcripts to:  Dr. Beck, GAB Rm. 220. Transcripts sent through intercampus mail are accepted. Please indicate AED on the mailer label.
