Health Professions Counselor:
- The Health Professions Counselor assists all students with
major and minor selection, courses that meet preprofessional requirements, and
applications and recommendations to professional schools in the following
fields:
- Chiropractic, Dental Hygiene, Medical/Dental, Medical
Record Administration/ Health Information Management, Nursing, Occupational
Therapy, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Podiatric Medicine,
Optometry, Public Health, Respiratory Care, Veterinary Medicine.

Requirements for Honor Cords:
- All AED members must earn a minimum of 6
points per semester of study at UNT in order to qualify to wear an AED
Honor Cord on graduation day.
Requirements for Local Membership:
- Any Pre-Health Professional student is
welcome.
- A membership fee of $25 per semester or
$40 per academic year.
Requirements for National Membership:
- Must have completed at least 45 hours
of coursework with a grade point average of at least 3.0 overall, with a minimum
GPA of 3.0 in science courses.
- A National Membership fee of $55 payable
in the spring semester.
- NOTE: Local membership dues are
required for the fall semester prior to induction in the spring ($25).
- You must submit all transfer and UNT
transcripts to: Dr. Beck, GAB Rm. 220. Transcripts sent through
intercampus mail are accepted. Please indicate AED on the mailer label.
