Meeting 02/08/00, 2:30-3:30 p.m.

Attendees: Paisley Baker, Ray Brown, Stephanie Chan, Tom Dalton, Sheri Hull, Randy King, Erik Lokken, Heather Meyer, Amy Newcomer, Lane Rasberry, Kerri Shearer, Dennis Tittle, Martin Wallace Tami King called roll at 2:30 p.m. Paisley Baker called meeting to order at 2:35 p.m.

Unfinished Business:

Christmas Party
Paisley asked how it went because she couldn't be there. Several students and Dr. Spencer said it was fun, and the food was great! Thanks to all who cooked and participated!

Vacant Officer's Position:
Because Amanda Parrish, our Vice-President, graduated in December, Paisley read from the by-laws the course of action we should follow to appoint someone to fill the position. It says In the case of a vacancy in one or more of the Officer's positions during the May to April term, the ranking Officer remaining will call an emergency meeting of the organization. If no Officer remains, the organization members will appoint an interim Officer at the next regularly scheduled meeting to serve until a new election is held. This interim Officer may be appointed by simple majority of the quorum in a General Meeting. The ranking or interim Officer must arrange for a new election and call an emergency meeting of the entire organization on the first available date. The election to fill a vacant position must follow the same format as the general election described above. We decided to ask for volunteers willing to hold the position of Interim Vice-President. Martin Wallace volunteered. There were no objections.

Committee Reports:

No standing committees exist as of this date.

New Business:
