Tami King began the meeting at 3:00. She gave a brief overview of the telephone project training sessions and gave copies of the handout to any members present who needed one.
Kick off nights are Wednesday, 10/13, Monday, 10/18, and Tuesday, 10/19 from 5-7 p.m. in GAB 313. FREE PIZZA AND SODA WILL BE PROVIDED! Every Ambassador should attend one of these kick off nights to begin their calling, even if they weren't able to make one of the training sessions. Sign up sheets will be posted these three nights so you can schedule the remainder of your time.
Dr. Sandra Spencer got the application for the Homecoming Parade participation we plan. She reminded everyone that the deadline is the 18th.
Then everyone was asked to introduce themselves and report the latest good news from their departments. Our departments are more active than ever providing good opportunities for students.
Paisley Baker then offered suggestions for the Homecoming Parade. Marie Hale volunteered to contact Peterbuilt about the use of a vehicle, and she and Martin Wallace will be helping with other Ambassadors to provide the "art" needed on the vehicle. Please contact Paisley Baker if you can help.
Paisley reported on the AIDS Lifewalk that was last weekend. Then she recommended that those who want to volunteer to help with the Blood Drive sign in when they arrive. Those who can volunteer will be helping by giving blood or plasma, greeting people, distributing orange juice and cookies, etc…. Please see below for the dates of this event.
