When in Windows, access CLAN programs by clicking on the CLAN icon. The "output window," which displays the results of issued CLAN commands, opens first.  To issue a command, go to the Windows drop-down menu within CLAN and select "Commands." All CLAN search commands are issued from within the Commands window. Do not attempt to use the "File-In" facility within the "Commands" window; it doesn't work!
